2. BORDER DISPUTES: a) CORFU

After some dispute in the albanian-greek border, the League's Conference of Ambassadors sent the italian general Tellini to supervise.
27 august - Tellini and his team were ambushed and killed in the greek side.

29 august - Mussolini demanded to Greece a compensation for the murder and the execution of the murders.

31 august - Italy bombarded and occupied the greek island of corfu leaving, leaving 15 casualties. Greece asks the League for help. The League's articles said that under thread of war, members could take their dispute to the Council.
7 september - Council judgement is know: it condemned Mussolini but it made Greece pay compensations. Mussolini disagrees and takes the matter to the Council of Ambassadors.

27 september - Mussolini accepts the Ambassadors resolution and withdraws from Corfu. This conflict could've ended earlier because the League as an organism could've handled it, but Britain and France couldn't agree on what to do and kept protecting their countries interests, so it took much longer to be solved.
